Ketika saya melihat tampilannya leonidas di laptop teman, saya kepincut juga dengan grub splash imagenya yang biru menyejukan mata 
sampai rumah akhirnya saya coba install di mesin jaunty saya.

Kemudian masuk ke direktory /boot/grub disana sudah terinstall splashimages

Setelah masuk ke direktory /boot/grub kemudian buat symboliknya (untuk gambarnya bisa dipilih sesuai selera dan untuk contoh ini ada di direktory /boot/grub/splashimages)
andi@clansoenda:/boot/grub$ sudo ln -s splashimages/CRW_7206_14.xpm.gz splash.xpm.gz
Kemudian update grubnya
andi@clansoenda:/boot/grub$ sudo update-grub
Coba reboot maka tampilan splash grub sudah berbeda, tidak gelap lagi
